Applications for the 2011-2012 LAYO season are due by Friday, September 30 at midnight.  Auditions will be held Saturday, October 8, 9AM - noon at Lima Senior High School.

You will receive audition times via e-mail that week.

If a student is unable to be at the auditions on that Saturday morning,contact Mrs. Grim at 419.234.6378 to schedule an audition time prior to October 8^th.

Winds audition requirements

• A solo of the student’s choice.
• Major scales in concert Ab, Eb, Bb, F, C, D, A and E. One octave ascending and descending, memorized.
• A chromatic scale. At least one octave, ascending and descending, memorized.
• Sight Reading

Percussion audition requirements

• A solo of the student’s choice on either snare, timpani, or mallets.
• Major scales in concert Ab, Eb, Bb, F, C, D, A and E. One octave ascending and descending, memorized.
• Sight Reading on snare and mallets.
• Snare rudiments-the adjudicator will choose from the following (5-stroke roll, 9-stroke roll, flam, flam-tap, drag, ruff, paradiddle, long roll)

String audition requirements
